Heartsaver Courses (CPR, AED, First Aid)

American Heart Association course designed for anyone with little or no medical training that need certification for CPR, AED, and/or First Aid for their job, regulatory (e.g. OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

CPR Done Right offers a fun, non-threatening, relaxed environment in which to learn, practice, and perfect training.

Course Options

We offer 4 courses depending on your training needs.

Courses Offered

CPR/AED

This course covers Basic CPR and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator).

This course is for anyone wanting to be prepared to react/respond in an emergency where someone may need CPR.

2 Training Options Available

Blended Learning Course:

Offers the flexibility of self-paced online learning with in person skills practice/testing.

  • Online portion: takes about 2 hours
  • Skills session: The in-person skills session takes about 1-1.25 hours
  • REGISTER: Heartsaver Skills Session on our reservation calendar

 

Instructor Led Course:
Entire course is done in person (videos and skills).

  • Average length of time: takes about 3 hours
  • REGISTER: Heartsaver CPR/AED (all in person) course on our reservation calendar.

Onsite training available for groups of 7 or more: contact us for a quote.

First Aid/CPR/AED

This course covers First Aid, CPR and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator).

This course is for anyone wanting to be prepared to react/respond in an emergency where someone may need First Aid or CPR.

Typical audience includes: babysitters, teachers, foster care/adoption, camp counselors, youth organizations,  coaches for sports organizations, organizations that have a response team in place for active shooters.

This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, and guardians.

  • Skills session: takes about 1.25 hours

Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED

This course covers Pediatric specific First aid, CPR, and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator)

Intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. 

This audience includes child care workers.

This course is also appropriate for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians.

Offers the flexibility of self-paced online learning with in person skills practice and testing.

  • Online portion: takes about 3-3.5 hours
  • Skills session: takes about 1.25-1.5 hours

Instructor Led Course:
We do not currently offer this method of training for this course.

Heartsaver First Aid

This course covers Basic First Aid emergencies. 

Perfect for families, compassionate citizens and those who work with the public. 

Training Options

Blended Learning Course:
Offers the flexibility of self-paced online learning with in person skills practice and testing.

  • Online portion: takes about 2 hours
  • Skills session: takes about 30 minutes

Instructor Led Course:
Entire course is done in person (videos and skills). We are currently only offering this for groups of 5 or more on request at CPR Done Right or for 7 or more for on-site training.

  • Average length of time: takes about 2.5 hours
