American Heart Association course designed for healthcare professionals, students, and first responders that need certification. This course covers breathing and cardiac emergencies for the adult, child, and infant. Focus is on the importance of high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), appropriate airway management and ventilation, and early use of automated external defibrillator (AED).

Blended Learning Course

The Heartcode BLS blended learning course offers the flexibility of self-paced on-line learning with in-person hands-on skills practice & testing.

 

This course is in 2 parts:

  • Part I (Online Learning) – The eLearning (online) portion is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology allowing students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.
  • Part II  (Skills Practice & Testing) – The skills practice & testing session is designed to allow students time to practice before required testing to receive their certification card.

 

Advantages:

  1. Learn at your own pace.
  2. You can practice with the virtual simulation, as much as needed, to gain confidence in the knowledge portion of the course.
  3. You have access to the course for 2 years. This allows you can log back into the course, after completion, and practice the e-simulations again and again to retain information and maintain confidence.

 

Instructor Led BLS Course

The full course is done in person with an instructor. The instructor will show all required videos and conduct all required skill stations/testing in a classroom setting.

Each training format includes the same learning objectives so regardless of how you complete training you will receive the same (identical) certification card.

Step 1

Complete the HeartCode BLS online course through the American Heart Associations website (elearning.heart.org). 

Step 2

Contact CPR Done Right and schedule Part II where you will practice and test skills necessary to complete this course and receive your certification card.

  • This portion includes a content review and skills practice prior to testing.
  • Class sizes are small. This ensures quality training and reduce testing anxiety.

 

We offer skills sessions for Blended Classes 2-3 days/week at various times.

Average length of time:

  • Online portion of the course can take about 2-3 hours.
  • Skills portion of the course can take about 1-1.5 hours depended on skill level.
